Adult Programs

Book Discussion Groups

The Holbrook Public Library has two book discussion groups which meet at the library. The discussion groups are led by staff members.

Evening book discussion group meets once a month, generally on the first Thursday of the month. Start time is 6:30 p.m. Daytime book discussion group meets once a month, generally on the third Wednesday of the month. Start time is 2 p.m.

New members are always welcome; registration is not necessary. The book to be read each month is chosen by the group leader with input from the group participants. Books are borrowed from other Old Colony Library Network Libraries and are distributed at each book group for the next session. Each participant can check out a copy on his or her own library card. Copies of books for the next session are also available at the Circulation Desk. The group leader provides photocopies of reviews of the book for the group participants. Biographical information about the author whose work will be discussed is also provided. For more information and to confirm times contact the library at 781-767-3644.
