    The Holbrook Public Library is looking for a 15 hours per week Custodian to work in our small library.

    This job might be for you if:

    Finance & Operations Assistant

    The Holbrook Public Library is looking for a 24 hours per week Finance and Operations Assistant to work in our small library with a new and passionate staff with big ideas. This is a recently added position in which we are hoping to get more organized with our accounting and bills, as well as have a backup for circulation and technical services tasks.

    This job might be for you if:

    • You have interest and experience in accounting, billing, and acquisitions.
    • You have interest and knowledge in Technical Services, such as copy cataloging, withdrawing materials from holdings, and preparing items to be added into circulation.
    • Your public service is rooted in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community.

    Qualifications:

    Associate’s degree preferred: High school diploma or equivalent required, with 1-3 years library experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

    The schedule is flexible.  Must work at least one evening and every other Saturday.  This is a level 2 Union position with a starting salary of $19.25 per hour and includes a generous benefits package.

    Library Aide (Two Openings)

    The Holbrook Public Library is looking for two 15 hours per week Library Aides to work in our small library with a new and passionate staff with big ideas. These are recently added front-line positions in which we are hoping to better serve the public.

    This job might be for you if:

    • You have an interest in delivering prompt and courteous assistance to all patrons regarding the use of Library resources, equipment, and services.
    • Your customer service skills are top-notch.
    • You have an attention to detail both in helping patrons and also in putting away items in their correct place, keeping items organized on their shelves, and making displays.
    • Your public service is rooted in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community.

    Qualifications:

    High school degree or equivalent preferred: 1-3 years library experience a plus; or any equivalent combination of education and experience, especially with customer service.

    The schedule is flexible.  Must work at least one evening and every other Saturday.  This is a level 1 Union position with a starting salary of $17.50 per hour.

    Programming & Marketing Assistant

    The Holbrook Public Library is looking for a 24 hours per week Programming and Marketing Assistant to work in our small library with a new and passionate staff with big ideas. This is a recently added position in which we are hoping to expand programs and services to children, their families, teens, and adults.

    • You have interest and experience developing programs for kids, teens, and adults!
    • You have interest and knowledge in Marketing - including social media, press releases, newsletters, fliers, and being creative on how we can get our info out to the public.

    Youth Services Librarian

    The Holbrook Public Library is looking for a 32-hour per week Youth Services Librarian to work in our small library with a new and passionate staff with big ideas. This is a recently restructured position in which we are hoping to expand programs and services to children, their families, and teens.

    This job might be for you if:

    • Your librarianship is people-centered.
    • You have interest and experience developing programs and collections for kids and teens ages 0-18.
    • You have interest and knowledge of the current trends of youth-focused technology and applications.
    • Your public service is rooted in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community. 

    Qualifications:

    This role will be filled by a librarian with an MLS or an individual with a combination of education and relevant experience in public-facing roles working with children and families.  Those in progress to earn their degree are welcome to apply.

    The schedule is flexible with some remote work allowed.  Must work at least one evening and every other Saturday.  This is a level 4 Union position with a starting salary of $50,112/year and includes a generous benefits package.
